I did not have great examples of money handling in my early life, and when I first started as a receptionist in a financial advising office over fifteen years ago, I was deeply in debt. I never missed a payment, but it was a very difficult span of years, which made me dream of a day when interest would work for me instead of against me. Working in finance was an incredible blessing, where I could imagine a future like I saw in some of our clients. It allowed me to see first-hand that having money truly didn’t provide happiness, or even wisdom. I saw great and sad financial decisions made, and how helpful having an advisor was. I saw the dreams of our clients come to life! It taught me so much and continues to. I ultimately did get out of debt, and I obtained a Series 7 securities license. It was an unexpected career path for me, as I’d gone to college for Humanities and Philosophy. But even those subjects are a study of people: how they think, what motivates them, and how they live. Finance has turned out to be a perfect fit when I consider that.

Along those same lines, when I began learning about the enneagram and saw how insightful it was for myself and my marriage, I began to share it with the team at Mosaic. We went through dozens of exercises that positively impacted our teamwork and understanding of one another, and I am pursuing various certifications to provide enneagram workshops for our clients and other professionals. I am a 1 on the enneagram, which means you can count on me for attentiveness, integrity, ideas, and a perfectionistic tendency – all of which come in handy for the work I do for our clients! It is a true honor to be able to work with people’s life savings. I take my job seriously, but I enjoy the relationships and am never bored with what our work entails, because it’s a job that is full of creativity and change. I love our clients’ stories and feel privileged to support them in every way that I can!
